ICT Engineering

Engineering is largely a practical activity. It is about putting ideas into action. There are several types of engineering in the field of information and communication technology (known as ICT). ICT engineering divided into 8 major, there are Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computational Science, Information System, and Physics Engineering.

Telecommunication engineering is a major field dealing with basic cicuit design and strategic mass developments. A telecommunication engineer is a responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of telecommunications equipment and facilities, such as complex electronic switching systems, copper telephone facilities, and fiber optics.
Electrical engineering deals with application of electricity and electronics. Electrical engineers design everything including amplifiers, often with the aid of circuit simulation
programs. Electrical engineers require a strong background in mathematics since the solving of circuits can be very complex.

Industrial engineering is concerned with designing and manufacturing processes for a multitude of products. An industrial engineer should be able to determine what sort of manufacturing process would be most efficient and least costly to implement for the manufacture of that product. They are given a broad background in electricity, computers, mechanics, and economics.

Information Systems is an area of study bridging the multidisciplinary business world and the interdisciplinary computer science field. It explores the academics of various business models as well as related algorithmic processes within a computer science discipline. Typically, information systems include people, procedures, data, software, and hardware that are used to gather and analyze digital information.

Computer engineering is a field that combines
elements of software and electrical engineering. The primary focus of computer engineering is the design and implementation of embedded systems, that is control systems and computers embedded in everyday products. Despite the embedded systems focus, many computer engineers work in purely software engineering
jobs.

Designing software applications, such as databases and operating systems are the concern of sofware engineers. Software engineers must learn many software languages in order to be versatile, since many companies will design different software products using more than one language. Software engineers are trained with software architecture in mind, although they often do the actual coding.

Computational science is the field of study concerned with constructing mathematical models and quantitive analysis techniques and using computers to analyze and solve scientific problems. In practical use, it is typically the application of computer simulation and other forms of computation to problems in various scientific disciplines.

The last type is engineering physics which does not necessarily which does not necessarily include a particular branch of science or physics. Instead, it is meant to provide a more thorough grounding in applied physics of any area chosen by student, such as optics, nanotechnology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or aerodynamics.

Telkom Institute of Technology (IT Telkom)

Telkom Institute of Technology or IT Telkom is the private university owned by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. (PT Telkom), which is a State-Owned Enterprises. This University was once named Telkom School of Technology and is located exactly on Jl. Telecommunications Sub Dayeuhkolot Bandung regency. IT Telkom is a Private University (PTS), which concentrates its programs to support the development of technology and telecommunications industries. Objective of establishing this school is to meet the demand for experts in the telecommunications industry is growing very rapidly in modern era.

Institut Teknologi Telkom (IT Telkom) - formerly named STT Telkom - is the first institution in Indonesia which specialized program of studies in the field of "Information and Communications Technologies' (ICT). IT Telkom is projected to prepare experts in the field of ICT, skilled and oriented businesses, in response to the demands of the development of the ICT industry is so rapid. the average growth in the telecommunications business sector in Indonesia has increased by 20% each year. the growth of these businesses include cellular-based communication services, fixed telephone, internet and broadband access. with the amount of growth, the estimated power requirements Infocom in 2010 in Indonesia is as much as 320,000. Currently providers infocom graduates from public universities and private universities, including IT Telkom. But the number of graduates from universities that have programs studies related to the field of infocom these, only about 20,000 people per year. IT Telkom launched in 2017 will be an international-class universities that excel in the field of Infocom and become agents of change in shaping human intelligence and competitive.
